FAQs

Policies

Refunds, deferrals, exceptions, appeals and conduct. The rules and figures in these answers are drafts until aali's team confirms them.

What is the refund policy?

The draft rule: you get a full refund if you ask within 24 hours of paying and before the course starts (draft). After that there is no refund, but you can defer your place. The payment and refunds page sets out the cases.

How do deferrals work?

You can move your place once, free of charge, to a later cohort if you ask before the end of the course's first week and the new date falls within 12 months (draft). On-demand courses cannot move; their access can be extended once on request.

Can I switch from one course to another?

Yes, during the first week (draft). You pay the difference if the new course costs more; if it costs less, the difference stays as credit for a later course. After the first week a switch counts as a deferral.

What happens if aali cancels or reschedules a cohort?

We tell you at least two weeks before the start (draft) and offer a place in the next cohort, another course or a full refund, and you choose. You pay nothing for a change on our side.

What are the conduct rules in discussions?

Be respectful, argue the case and not the person, and do not share other people's posts or course materials outside the course. Harassment and discrimination end your access. The conduct policy sets out the cases and the steps.

Can I ask for an exception?

Yes. If illness, a family emergency or work travel stops you meeting a deadline, write to support before it if you can, with a line on why. Exceptions are decided one by one, and the exceptions policy explains how.

How do I appeal a decision?

If you disagree with a completion or conduct decision, send an appeal to support within 30 days (draft) saying what you ask and why. Someone who did not take the first decision reviews it and replies in writing within 15 working days (draft).

Do you support learners with disabilities?

Yes. Tell support what you need, such as captions, extra time or materials that work with a screen reader, before the course starts or as soon as you know. We agree the adjustments with you and keep the details private. The accommodations policy has more.

How does aali handle my data?

aali collects what it needs to teach you, take payment and issue your certificate, and does not sell your data. The Privacy Policy sets out what we keep, for how long, and how to ask for a copy of your data or for its deletion.

Where can I read the full policies?

The policies page lists each one: completion, credentials, exceptions, appeals, accommodations, payment and refunds, changing status, community, discount codes, past-learner pricing and conduct. All are drafts until aali publishes them at launch.
