Ways to pay and financial support

We want you to decide on what you will learn, not on what you can afford today. This page covers how to pay and the rules, loans through approved lenders, grants based on income or on service, and a discount for anyone who finished an earlier course. Every price, percentage and date here is a draft until aali's team confirms it.

Payment rules

The payment rules are simple and stated before you enrol so nothing surprises you. Read them once here; they are repeated on each course page and in the payment and refund policy. If a particular course differs, the exception is written on its own page, not in a distant footnote.

  • A cohort course: you pay in full before the pay-by date shown on its page, which is two days before the start.
  • An on-demand course or a sprint: you pay in full, and access opens as soon as payment is complete.
  • A programme: you pay once or in the instalments shown on its page, with the first one due by the pay-by date.
  • Prices are in Saudi riyals, and a receipt is emailed to you after every payment.
  • Stopping a payment at your bank is not a withdrawal; you stay enrolled until you withdraw under the refund policy.

Loans through approved lenders

We are working to agree terms with lenders who offer loans for education and professional training. This option is a draft, we will not recommend a lender before reviewing its terms, and you will see the cost of financing here, plainly, before you apply for anything.

  • The loan must be approved and paid out before the pay-by date, so leave yourself enough time for the process.
  • One loan per course, and one for each instalment of a programme paid in instalments.
  • We will list the approved lenders and their terms here once agreements are in place.

Grants: two kinds

A grant is a reduction in a course's price, not money paid to you. It is used once, cannot be combined with the past-learner discount or other offers, and expires some weeks after it is awarded. In their draft form grants do not cover sprints or programmes.

  • Draft figure

    50%

    Income-based grant

For a learner taking a first course at aali whose household income is below a limit we set, judged on household income, size and a short statement. The percentage is a draft.

  • Draft figure

    30%

    Service-based grant

For people who work in service to others: teaching, health care, social work and non-profits, judged on proof of your role. The percentage is a draft.

Application windows

We open four windows a year for grant applications. Each stays open for about four weeks, and we announce the decision around two weeks after it closes. Apply in any window that comes before the pay-by date of the course you want.

How to get a grant: three steps

  1. 01

    Create your account

One account in your name and email, the same one you will enrol with.

  2. 02

    Send your grant application

In an open window, with your income details or proof of service, depending on the grant.

  3. 03

    Enrol with the award

Once awarded, it shows in your account and you use it when you enrol, before it expires.

A discount for past learners

We thank returning learners with a discount on the next course. In a learning track, the second and third courses carry the same discount, so a specialisation costs less than three separate courses. The full details are in the past-learner pricing policy.

  • It applies automatically at checkout from your second course onward, at a draft rate of 30%.
  • It does not cover sprints, programmes or organisation packages.
  • It cannot be combined with grants or other offers, and is used once per order.
  • It is not applied retroactively to anything you paid before you qualified.
