FAQs
Certificates
What you receive, when, and how others can verify it. The rules and figures in these answers are drafts until aali's team confirms them.
What do I receive when I finish a course?
An aali certificate of completion: a PDF with your name, the course title, the completion date and a credential id. After three courses in one subject within 18 months you can also earn a specialisation certificate. aali claims no degree and no accreditation.
How do I list the certificate on my CV?
List it under training or courses, as: course title, aali, year. Add the credential id so a reader can verify it. Do not write degree, diploma or accredited; the certificate shows you completed a course, nothing more.
When does my certificate arrive?
It is issued after the course closes and your completion is confirmed, in the weeks after the final deadline (draft: within 30 days). We email you when it is ready, and you download it from the account portal.
How do I download the certificate?
Sign in to the account portal, open My certificates and choose Download PDF. The download is free and you can repeat it whenever you need, because the file is kept in your account. The portal opens at launch (draft).
Is the certificate digital or printed?
Digital only: a PDF you can print yourself. aali does not post paper certificates in the draft plan. Every file carries a credential id, so both the screen copy and a printed copy can be checked.
How can an employer or a university verify my certificate?
Give them the credential id or the PDF. They open the verification page and enter the id, which shows your name, the course and the completion date, and nothing else about you. The Verify a certificate page explains the steps.
My name is misspelled on the certificate. What do I do?
Write to support with a document that shows the correct spelling. We reissue the file under the same credential id and mark the old copy as replaced. The first correction carries no charge (draft).
I lost my certificate file. How do I get it back?
Download it again at any time from your account. If you cannot sign in, write to support from the email you enrolled with and we send it again. You do not need a new certificate; the same credential id stays valid.
What are the requirements to complete a course?
Each course page lists them. The draft rule: complete the lessons and exercises, take part in the discussions and hand in the final task before the course closes. If something prevents it, ask for an exception before the deadline; the exceptions policy covers it.
Does a course certificate count towards a programme?
Yes, when the course is part of the programme. A programme certificate needs every course in it, and each course also earns its own certificate. Whether a course you finished before joining counts is decided case by case until the policy is written.
What is the specialisation certificate and what does it need?
It recognises three courses in the same subject completed within 18 months (draft). You do not apply for it: when the third course is complete, the portal checks and issues it with its own credential id.
Does the certificate say it is a degree or accredited?
No. It says you completed a named aali course on a date. aali is a business school online that issues its own certificates; it awards no degrees and claims no accreditation. Employers decide what weight to give it.
Does a certificate expire?
No. A certificate shows what you completed on a date, and it stays valid. The verification page keeps the record. If aali changes how it issues certificates, older ones remain verifiable (draft), and you need to do nothing.
