What you earn when you finish
aali gives you three levels of proof for what you finished: a badge for a sprint, certificates for a course and for a specialisation, and a certificate for each programme you complete. All of them are aali's own certificates; we claim no degree and no academic accreditation, and we say so before you enrol so you know exactly what you are buying.
Level one: a badge
A sprint is a quick trial of a new subject, so what you earn is a digital badge showing you finished it, not a certificate of completion. You add it to your professional profile and return to a full course in the same subject if you liked it. These are draft rules aali's team may adjust before launch.

Level two: certificates
Choose one of the seven subjects and begin with any course in it. Courses count from day one, so you never have to announce that you are building a specialisation. When you finish the third one on time, the certificate is yours.

An aali certificate of completion
You earn it when you finish a course and meet its requirements: taking part in the discussions and handing in the exercises. A digital copy is yours to download.

Level three: programme certificates
The programme certificate is the highest thing aali gives. It goes to someone who finished every course in a programme and its closing project, and shows a full course of study with a fixed group. It is also an aali certificate, not a degree, and each programme's page lists its requirements in full.

How anyone can check one
Every aali certificate carries a verification code issued with it. An employer or anyone else can enter the code on the verification page and confirm that aali really issued the certificate, without having to write to you. The timings and details are drafts until the site launches, and no real code is shown here.
