The syllabus.

4 modules and about 42 hours.

PreworkBefore you start

Before week one: a self-assessment of about an hour on your leadership style, plus a short survey answered by colleagues you choose.

Module 1 · 11 hYour leadership style: a diagnosis

You begin with a self-assessment and colleagues' feedback on your style, then read the case of a new manager at a regional retailer and name what should have been done in the first week.

Module 2 · 11 hEarning trust in the first days

You build a 90-day plan for your role: whom you meet, what you listen for, and what you promise and do not promise. You test it on a leader who inherits a worn-out team.

Module 3 · 10 hDirect feedback and hard conversations

You practise performance conversations with a four-step model, record a short clip of yourself responding to a slipping team member, then review it with your cohort.

Module 4 · 10 hLeading change and motivating the team

You study how a hesitant team met a change in how work is done, write the plan to announce and follow it, and close with a personal six-month leadership plan presented to your group.
