The syllabus.

4 modules and about 36 hours. Basic spreadsheet skills, percentages and averages help; no coding is needed.

Module 1 · 9 hThe right question

You turn a problem such as rising subscription cancellations into a specific, measurable question, and work out which data you need, where it sits and how good it is before trusting it.

Module 2 · 9 hReading numbers and charts

You learn average, median, variance and sampling, uncover misleading charts, and go through an online shop's sales report to find what the average hides.

Module 3 · 9 hCause or chance: correlation and experiments

You separate correlation from cause on real cases, design a two-version test for a change on an order page, and read its result to decide whether the improvement is real.

Module 4 · 9 hWorking with the analyst and deciding

You practise briefing an analyst clearly and reviewing the work, then present a data-backed decision on one page that states the assumptions and the limits of confidence.
