The syllabus.

4 modules and about 36 hours.

Module 1 · 9 hPurpose and model: why the company exists

You study companies that put purpose at the core of their model and others that keep it in advertising, then write a purpose statement for yours and check whether real decisions back it.

Module 2 · 9 hMeasuring impact

You learn the difference between outputs, outcomes and impact, choose three indicators for a water-bottling company operating in the region, and build a data-collection method at a reasonable cost.

Module 3 · 9 hImpact and profit together

You cost an impact programme and its direct and indirect commercial return, and build a case for shareholders who fear impact will cut profit, answering their objections.

Module 4 · 9 hHonest claims and the impact report

You examine brands' claims and pick out the overstated ones, write a short impact report for your company with numbers and stated limits, and present it to your group for critique.
