The syllabus.

4 modules and about 30 hours.

Module 1 · 8 hWhat your brand promises

You analyse a local food company's brand, who it speaks to and what it promises, write your own brand's promise, purpose and values, then ask customers whether they believe the promise.

Module 2 · 8 hIdentity: name, look and voice

You choose the name, colours, type and tone of writing to express the promise, review the identity of a young café chain, and tell what is merely attractive from what actually works.

Module 3 · 7 hConsistency at every touchpoint

You list every touchpoint between customer and brand, from the advert to the invoice, find the contradictions, and write a short usage guide that the team and suppliers follow.

Module 4 · 7 hProtecting the brand as you grow

You study a brand that lost its clarity when it expanded into too many products, decide when to extend the brand and when to start a new one, and set indicators to measure its strength.
